Full Transcript: A common allergy myth is that hives are always caused by allergies. In reality, an allergy is a common cause of hives, however, many other things release histamine. Things like vancomycin and morphine for drugs directly set off the histamine. Infections like viruses or strep – through our – system. So we have to look at these kind of things, like kind of some strange ones are physical activities like being cold or hot. Certain light wave frequencies will set off the mast cells – in general the history is going to tell us what’s going on and there should be some help for your hives you.
