Myth – Hypoallergenic Pets

Not all hypoallergenic pets are created equal, and some will still trigger your allergies more than others.

Full Transcript: A common allergy myth is that there are hypoallergenic breeds of dogs or cats. In reality the difference in dog or a cat would be a dog to dog variation. Same with cats, they can be actually eight times more in one dog than another and it’s even within the same litter of pups. so just because one dachshund was fine won’t mean that everyone is, so it’s best just to play with the critter before you get it, and if you’re allergic expect that you’ll be taking some medicines to get better.
