Welcome Dr. Rebecca M. Durón to Dakota Allergy & Asthma

We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Rebecca M. Durón, the newest member of our team at Dakota Allergy & Asthma. Dr. Durón brings a wealth of expertise and a compassionate approach to our practice, and we are excited to welcome her to our community.
Dr. Durón is board-eligible with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, having recently completed an Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her extensive training also includes dual certifications in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, allowing her to provide exceptional care for patients of all ages. Additionally, Dr. Durón holds a Master’s of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Her career has been marked by a strong commitment to community service and significant contributions to research, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field of allergy and immunology. Dr. Durón’s diverse background, shaped by her upbringing in a military family, gives her a unique perspective and an adaptable approach to patient care. This experience allows her to connect with patients from various backgrounds and tailor her care to meet individual needs effectively.
Dr. Durón specializes in the evaluation and management of allergic disorders, bringing a comprehensive understanding of allergies and asthma to our practice. Her commitment to delivering patient-centered care ensures that each patient receives personalized treatment plans designed to improve their quality of life.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Durón enjoys traveling with her husband and has enjoyed exploring the State of South Dakota since recently moving here. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, hiking, and trying new recipes. She is also getting into cycling, taking advantage of the Greenway/Bike Trail Loop in Sioux Falls.
